This page is dedicated to Riley & Luna, my 2 beautiful English Labrador Retrievers.  I can't even explain to you how my world has changed because of them.

My name is Michele Schroder and I am from Rockville Centre, N.Y.  So my story began when Riley joined our family 7 years ago.  A few years later, LUNA joined us and now we are complete.  After RILEY was with us a couple of years, I began getting very involved in my community and local shelters and started to really understand the importance of being a good dog mommy.  I began baking dog treats for Riley after he had developed some skin allergies due to the poor quality of dog food & treats that were at my local pet stores.  I was SHOCKED at the quality and overall danger of the ingredients that MOST big, well known & trusted brands allowed in their products.  This motivated me to want to do anything & everything I could to improve his overall health & well being, so I decided to begin a home based business selling dog treats.  

After a few years of doing the dog treat thing,  I felt like I still wanted to become more involved and do more in the animal field.  I also began organizing a local community dog pack walk in my neighborhood that brought our neighbors and pups closer than I ever thought possible!  We usually walk 1x or 2x a month and have about 20 dogs that participate.  We are locally known as the GATEWAY DOGGY PARADE!!! 

 I  then began pet sitting in my home.  It helped me out a lot because Riley and Luna were able to socialize and play and kept them tired and busy!  After dog sitting for a couple of years, I realized that I had finally found my PASSION!!!  I began researching schools and various programs where I can educate myself further, so I enrolled in the ABC Veterinary Program and had such a wonderful experience and was able to work in a local animal clinic where I excelled and learned so much.  

I am now a CERTIFIED VETERINARY ASSISTANT in the U.S.A. and also am trained and certified for emergency CPR & First Aide.
